Templates

Sharing a Workflow

You can share a workflow as a template with people outside of your team directly from the workflow settings. To open Workflow Settings, either:
  • Click the workflow name in the top-left corner, or
  • Click the three-dot menu in the top-right of the canvas.
Once shared, the workflow becomes available as a reusable template in the marketplace.

Updating a Shared Template

After a workflow has been shared as a template, you can push updates at any time by clicking the Share button in the top-right corner. Any new changes will be reflected in the shared template.

Interfaces

Workflows can be shared in two ways:
  • Canvas-based templates – full access to the workflow canvas
  • Form-based templates – a simplified form experience for end users
Form-based templates are ideal when you want users to configure a workflow by filling out specific fields, without exposing the underlying workflow logic.

Creating a Form-Based Template

To share a workflow as a form-based template:
  1. Open the Interfaces drawer.
  2. Select Form as the interface type.
  3. For each step, choose which fields should be editable by the end user using the form dropdown.
  4. The selected fields will appear in the panel on the right.
That’s it. Once published, end users will see a simple form where they can input values to customise the workflow for their needs. That's it. Once published the end user will see something like this:

Important Note

Templates shared as form-based interfaces do not give end users access to the canvas-based workflow. They will only be able to interact with the form.
