Plans & Feature Comparison

Compare Free workspace allowances and paid resource capacity for your workspace. Eligible Free workspaces receive the Step credits, Glow AI tokens and retained file storage shown in Usage. Use Pricing for current published unit prices and Usage to choose resource amounts. Paid subscriptions let you choose an allocation for each resource, with no separate base platform fee.

Allowances are shared across the workspace, not granted separately to each member or automation. Step credits and AI tokens replenish monthly; storage is standing capacity.

The Free allocation applies only to eligible workspaces. The Free label alone does not establish funding. Creating another workspace does not grant another Free allowance. See the eligibility rules below.

Use the checkout quote for the subscription price. A paid subscription includes a selected allocation for all three resources. A price shown for one resource is only that component’s price, not the total subscription price. Review the itemized quote, currency, billing interval and applicable tax before purchasing.

The Free Plan

Use the Free allowances to build and test automations, then monitor consumption in Billing and usage → Usage.

  • Step credits: Cover chargeable automation work at the applicable Step rate. Not every Step costs one credit, and failed work can be chargeable.
  • Glow AI tokens: Cover Glow-managed AI usage, including Workflow Assistant. Hosted AI generation does not also incur ordinary Step credits, though other work in the automation can.
  • File storage: Covers retained workspace files. A monthly allowance reset does not delete those files.

See Step Credits, Tokens & Storage for metering rules.

Creating and joining workspaces

Free includes one owned workspace. Joining someone else’s workspace does not use your eligibility to create your first workspace, including when you join as an Admin. Membership does not grant a separate allowance within that workspace.

What you want to doWhat to expect
Create your first workspaceEligible accounts receive the currently published Free allowance, confirmed in Usage.
Create another workspace while you already own oneYou need qualifying current paid prepaid coverage through billing ownership. Being an invited Admin of someone else’s paid workspace does not qualify.
Use the additional workspaceIt does not receive another Free allowance or share the existing workspace’s subscription. Purchase capacity for it separately.
Replace a deleted workspaceIf you no longer own an existing workspace, you can create a replacement. Deletion does not reset your Free eligibility; choose a prepaid subscription for the replacement.
Leave a workspace you createdLeaving does not make it a deleted workspace or free your creation slot.

A current paid prepaid subscription on a payer account you own also qualifies; payer administrator access alone does not establish ownership. If creation is blocked, select Upgrade workspace to open the owned workspace’s Usage view, or ask an Admin of that workspace to restore your access. After creating a replacement workspace, complete checkout and confirm its capacity in Usage.

Monthly resets and exhausted balances

For workspaces with a Free allowance, Step credits and Glow AI tokens replenish on the workspace’s monthly reset date. Unused consumable allowances do not roll over. A monthly reset does not give an unfunded additional or replacement workspace a new Free allowance.

When a resource is exhausted, new work requiring it is blocked. Restoring capacity lets eligible work run again, but does not guarantee replay of missed events or completion of a stopped run. Follow Usage Controls & Recovery.

When to Scale to a Paid Plan

Choose resource amounts under Billing and usage → Usage, in Choose your monthly amounts or Change your amounts. The selection covers all three resources, even when only one resource prompted the upgrade.

BottleneckWhat to adjustKey limit or rule
Higher execution volumeIncrease Step creditsEstimate from chargeable Step work and retries rather than the number of Steps on the canvas.
Parallel batch processingUpgrade to a paid subscriptionRun for each item scales from 50 items (1 at a time, no item retries) to 1,000 items (up to 5 in parallel, configurable item retries).
Execution capacity across runsUpgrade to raise the concurrency ceilingIncreases concurrent claimed Step jobs from 50 to 100 across running automations. See Execution Capacity for shared-payer queuing.
Larger AI workloadsIncrease Glow AI tokensCovers hosted prompts, transformations, agent runs, and Workflow Assistant usage.
Storage expansionIncrease Retained storageExpands standing file capacity (does not reset monthly). Free space or raise capacity when uploads are blocked.

Enterprise & Custom Requirements

If you need resource amounts beyond the self-service choices, select Talk to us in the amount selector on Usage or contact your account team. Confirm available allocations and commercial terms before planning a deployment around them.

An MSP management grant does not itself establish funding. Self-funded prepaid client workspaces use their own purchased balances. To have another billing account fund a workspace, review Sponsorship & Changing Payer and the required approvals.
